This was Joshua's first party with friends. I decided to do this last minute while Dan was out-of-town and it was so worth it. Though the present part was the boys' obvious favorite, I just loved the part that followed the candle-blow--watching seven boys try to have manners while eating chocolate cake is so cute.

We just got back from a couple weeks in California. Of course, we made too many memories to document, but Joshua's interactions with his younger cousin Jacob just can't go unmentioned. Last Christmas Joshua viciously bit Jacob's finger, and it seems that this holiday season Jacob wasn't about to be pushed around. There were some really cute moments (other than all the full-body contact) like this Tupperware bongo session while I was making pancakes one morning. Don't whole-wheat-and-oatmeal pancakes make you feel like this?

Can you believe this December harvest in California? This was the last of my parents tomatoes for 2007, and Joshua loved bringing them in.

Love love love those big eyes on the frog! Reminds me of Keroppi, the Sanrio frog (yes, I love Sanrio and proud of it). Happy birthday to Joshua! Age 4-5 is extremely fun! Wow those tomatoes are making my mouth water with thoughts of slow roasted tomatoes and tomato tarts!!!
