J's new and preferred form of exercise. Last summer D bought a Concept 2 rower on Craigslist (we heart Craigslist) and J has been taking notes. He tells me at least every other day that he's going to row when Daddy gets home in the evening. I'm pretty impressed by his tenacity--this kids has endurance when he gets on that seat.

Use for a rope from Grandpa. Most moms don't let their kids play with ropes, but J can find a hundred and one safe uses for them. This is the rope my dad fashioned for him this summer, and this use would be called "Rope Fishing". D loves this game, as you can see--it's one of the less energy intensive uses for the rope.

Earning his rent. Somebody's gotta work around here, right, Dad?

Nothing says Valentine's Day love like a big kiss on my big belly for the twins. He rarely kisses me once. He's very thoughtful and kisses me two or three times--once for each twin and once for me on a good day. By the way, the latest estimate is that I have 13 pounds of baby in there--our little boy is estimated to be 7 pounds and our little girl is estimated to be 6 pounds.
