Today I was forced to call an emergency family council with all present--only J and I were here and able to participate. We had to get some things straight by putting some rules in writing. Anyone have any great suggestions for posting family rules? Ours have already been tagged.

In other news, tummy time is actually becoming less traumatic.

And finally the photo of the day goes to E--it's so hard to get a smile from him when he's looking directly at the camera, but today I caught this cute expression in low light.

I made copies of our family rules and laminated them. We have copies in the family room, the kitchen, the main bathroom, the playroom, the bedrooms, and in the car. There's no getting away from them!!
Good luck!
I love that you had family council with Joshua. Maybe I should try that with Grace. Your family rules look very similar to ours. I have a feeling mine would be disrespected in a similar manner :)
ironic how the person who needs to requires the rules draws all over them
maybe that should be a rule
No drawing on the rules.
no ideas on how to eliminate this...good luck, sis.
I think you're a great mom.
we based our rules on primary songs -- gives us a little extra tool for reinforcement...but it's been a while since we really reviewed them -- FHE tonight i guess.
anyway they are all based on trying to be like Jesus:
kindness begins with me
love one another
i am like a star (be a good example)
quickly i'll obey
choose the right
when we're helping we're happy
those 6 pretty much cover things for now. :)
We do not have family rules but I did have them growing up.
Super Liz--will you please come and get our family straightened out??
You are fabulous!
Andrea
Maybe you could give "the boy" a crayon to write the rules on thwe wall. That way you can save the paper for art projects, and wrapping fish. It's just a suggestion, I won't be offended if you don't implement it.
