We made it to the shore on Saturday afternoon. My mom had filled the car with gas on Friday, and I just knew it was a sign that a trip to the beach was inevitable. She is a beach babe through and through--I was raised thinking that a perfect day was a day at the beach.I can't imagine a more perfect day. Blue skies--
warm wind to dry us off after tackling the tide--
and friendly wildlife coming in with the tide.
All three kids couldn't seem to get enough of the shallow waves. J announced that it was time to get a body board after he watched two kids enjoying their boards. A was only disappointed that we wouldn't let her sit in the foot-deep ebb and flow of the waves, and E was elated by all the splashing, especially the surprise splashes!
My mom went home today and we miss her already. What a blessing that she was here for our first attempt at a beach outing with three kids--her extra help (and hands) were indispensable. We're already looking forward to our beach trip when we're in California in June.

We were at the beach on Saturday too. Cody had so much fun in the water but it was way too cold for me. Little kids really have no fear. Sorry your mom had to go home. It's always nice to have the extra help.

I like the way you've acclimated to the terminology. Shore= Right Coast, Beach=Left Coast. And goodness those kidz are growin' fast. That's how people get old.....their kidz grow up. We hope all is wonderful for yunz out there, we are fat & sassy.
