July is Grandparents' Month! (Part Two)

It was a great thing to be together at my parents' house.  Someone I know was emotional during the impromptu photo op after church with the grandparents--don't worry, Dad, E was crying, too.

Other memorable moments for this trip include the following:

Hefting this baby girl, my sister's daughter.  We've been praying for her for many moons.  She is beautiful, but more importantly it is already apparent that she is smart, strong, and she loves her life here on Earth.

The unofficial reunion of five of my six siblings.  My brother Ronny (holding striped-shirt Ben)  drove the 12-hour one-way trip to see me.  My little sister Anjanette drove a six-hour trip.  Deborah sandwiched her trip to see me between doctor's visits for her little thing, and Jonny went out of his way so that I could spend time with his great wife.  (We missed my brother-in-law James, my brother Aaron and his family, and we really missed, Dan!).
The birthday swim party my little brother threw for me.  (That's him at the back of the small pool.) Alright, so it was his party initially, but since his birthday is the day after mine and since we love celebrating our birthdays together, he asked my mom to bring a cake for me, too!
Cousin hugs, water fights, and really loud family dinnertime.  (I bet that isn't too hard to imagine keeping this next photo in mind.)
Quiet (and silly) moments with my sisters.  (Thank heavens for girly sisters who are fully equipped with an array of nail polish for my girly A.)
Full use of all the farm features and its age-appropriate vehicles.  (E was on this bike everyday for extended periods of time.)
More posts on peaches, sisters, and grandparent time to follow.

So glad that you got to go home and that almost everyone was able to be there. I know that your parents LOVED it! It's so fun to watch your family grow up!

Fun fun fun. Joy in posterity coming to fruition I'd say.
