The kids and I just spent a week with friends at home in New Jersey. I'll post photos today or tomorrow, but here's what we did over the weekend when Dan came to town.
(OTW stands for Over the Weekend, Karen--I don't think anyone else uses that acronym, but I use it as a label for our family history purposes.)
Dan's Friday arrival--together in our New Jersey house again
Happiness is being all together as a family.
Island Beach State Park on Saturday
Salps (not blended up jellyfish like we thought) everywhere--on the beach, in our suits, in the water
Just a little bit of sunburn
Happiness is wearing ourselves out at the beach.
Reunion over dinner with the Oslunds from our Seattle days--warm Jen, funny Rob, smart Lidia
Happiness is seeing old friends still happy and healthy and better than ever.
A tomato pie with eggplant and fresh mozzarella at Brothers Pizza
Ice cream stop at Halo Pub--apricot, strawberry, raspberry, butter pecan, chocolate peanut paradise
Happiness is Princeton, NJ on a summer night.
Slow, calm Sunday morning
Church with the Princeton Second Ward
Happiness is feeling the bonds of a strong ward family.
Fifteen kids in their nursery, a well-oiled machine
Great talks on discipleship from Rob and Jen
Happiness is getting to pay attention to talks in sacrament meeting.
Goodbye again to all of our church friends
And goodbye to Dan who headed back to Virginia.

I'm so glad to know what OTW means. Thanks Liz!! :D You're so good at your family-history-in-the-making. I need to take a page from your book. Looks like a fun trip to NJ.
