The Tour 2011--Stage One to Salt Lake

Ask Dan on any day of July how "the Tour" went that day and he'll give you a run-down of how the Tour de France played out in that day's stage of that annual epic bike race he anticipates each year.  I can't help but feel like we went on our own epic journey west for reunions with family and friends.
Stage One:  Charlottesville to the Salt Lake Valley

Our kids totally aced the plane trip out.  A five a.m. departure, three flights and two layovers were no match for their excitement and stamina.

This was just the beginning of J's fun with cousins.  He has an easy way with jumping into friendships, especially with other active mischievous lads.  The twins started warming up to the idea, too.  I got a little teary pulling away from my brother's home--with all they are dealing with they remain so steady with the things that matter most and I am so inspired.
