Today we added decorations to the bathroom, but only temporarily. Due to raining trees we had to move our drying line to the bathroom, but now I'm telling the story in reverse.
First, coffee filters and markers.
Then, a little mist from the spray bottle of water.
"Mom, I have more to do." A persisted, adding more and more color to her papery palettes before spritzing water. But the boys were done after their ten-minute attention span was all used up, and they went upstairs to play "Spy Monkeys". Predictably the game involved stuffed animal espionage: hiding, jumping off beds, and blurting out "spy monkey".
A's extended efforts back in the workshop can be admired in the background. She was so bothered that there was so much white space on the boys' creations. We had planned to add the letters of everyone's names to the individual circles to make a banner for our workshops together, but instead the artwork went home to their moms.
Today I realized for the one hundredth time that I really need to paint this bathroom because it is as dingy green-gray as it looks. I also realized that it's time to go back to updating our blog We Were Just Wondering with our projects and crafting, so you can see what we're doing there. I'll do my best to get that back in a presentable state, so keep an eye open for changes there.
