We spent the very last days of the year and the very first days of the New Year by reuniting with old friends
--and making a new one in the process.
We took them to our favorite places--
--and appreciated some beautiful views of Virginia in the process.
We celebrated a birthday (Smitten Kitchen's yellow cake with Instant Fudge Frosting might be a keeper) and stayed up until midnight.
We ended 2011 strong and I'm enjoying looking back at all the we were and all the did and all that we felt and all that we enjoyed last year.
