We had little guests over to play on Friday and so it was a day of good messes. We dyed salt dough in four different hues and the kids spent a good forty-five minutes mixing and molding and creating.
With warming weather I've noticed that our playtimes with friends are evolving into two-act plays, with one act inside and one act out. Or perhaps I am instigating the transition outdoors because I am so ready for spring. I think the kids are ready for a new season, too.
I had a snuggling borrowed baby on my hip as I stood there absorbing sun. I could just feel my body synthesizing vitamin D, and so, of course, I was happy.
I will miss the winter, but at least I can be sure that it will come back eventually.
