It is getting easier for me have you go. Today I didn't cry about your departure for the first time since becoming a mother myself. Of course, my lack of tears had nothing to being ready for you to go, but I have more faith now that you'll come again or we'll go there (whichever comes first) and we'll pick up right where we left off. I'm posting this photo document evidence of a few facts:
- Millie really does get right up and dressed including coordinating hair accessories.
- Eli wore that watch to bed after having his "wish come true" at the mall yesterday when you got it for him.
- It was Christmastime and you were here, as evidenced by the legitimate tree.
- This was the visit when the kids were in full ninja/"stealth" mode.
- Joshua had just barely slipped his shoes on even though the school bell would ring just five minutes after this photo.
- We're not taking the traditional photo in front of our door because it had rained outside. And that's significant because it didn't rain on us the entire time we were in DC!
- The Mount Vernon ornament even showed up in the shot. Sweet.
Much love,
Liz
