Snow Time

We have had snow days recently with school cancellations and extra days at home. I can't say I've minded it--they've gotten plenty extra winter outside time which they wouldn't have if school had been in session. I like them to feel toughened against the elements and playing in snow is as good a way as any for them to prove that to themselves. I almost drove right into Washington, DC for some museum time when I heard was cancelled again, but at the last minute I cancelled my spontaneous planning. These kids need snow time as often as they can get it.

Post-play I love listening to their tales of snowball fights and falls off sleds and giant icicles, but my favorite part is always the pink cheeks and noses.
