From Laundromat to Rock Scramble to JMU

In addition to having our friends here during spring break, we fit in a few other events.
We washed our sleeping bags at the laundromat one day and I rediscovered how fun it is to introduce them to new things. They were intrigued by the rows and rows of machines.
That same day we made it to Dan's office. J confessed that he would happily trade in his school desk for Dan's work desk and chair. "I'd sit here and surf the web all day trying to figure out how to help schools."
We hiked the early spring trail to Bearfence Mountain in Shenandoah National Park.  Our kids were so much happier and commented on their improved moods.

We drove down from there into the Shenandoah Valley for the sole purpose of walking the campus of James Madison University. Our kids don't even ask us why we do this anymore, not even questioning if other families have the hobby or visiting college campuses for leisure.
They played human checkers on the tile floor and asked who started this university while Dan and I took note of unique features and noticed the fun-loving students basking in the sun on this Friday afternoon.
This weekend we're tuning in to General Conference for eight hours as a family and enjoying our memories of our break in routine.
