Thank heavens for digital photography. I usually don't notice that the kids need haircuts until I snap a photo of them and I see the shagginess on the screen of my computer. Yesterday I thoughtlessly snapped a photo of E and then I knew the clippers had to come out.
Today pre-haircut procrastination didn't win out. E distracted himself by "gutting" a ripe banana. (His words, not mine. We watched a video on Youtube of boy gutting a fish and my boys are intrigued.)
Post-haircut silliness sped up the recovery after the whining and wincing of today's buzzcut.
Since we're highlighting E's funny facial expressions, here's another from yesterday. He is always crossing his eyes to make us laugh.

I'm with you on the haircut thing. I procrastinate way too much when it comes to haircuts in our house.
