Spring means that YW Camp preparations are in full swing. We are just two months away from the big week. Two weekends ago we met with the teenage youth leaders from the Shenandoah Valley and Charlottesville areas. They are the best teenagers. I dare you to try to figure out which one is the actual Camp Director, though. She's a mom of three kids, but she blends right in. On our overnighter I had to say "Sarah, where are you" about three times because she looks just like the girls.
Spring means outdoor athletics at UVA and in the community. I see a lot of baseball in the future months. We went to our first game tonight. More on that in another post.
Spring means Easter. Last week I bought twenty inexpensive clear glass plates and some new cloth napkins so that I can host larger family dinners. They will happen infrequently, but at least I can make the experience just a little nicer than my previous tactic or piecing together our collection of plastic, melamine, and chipped ceramic plates.
And now a confession, one that I might have already made. Three quarters of the the photos I take feature A. I can't do anything about it. She is my most willing subject. Photographed here are her newly adopted older sisters. She was in heaven playing four square with them for an hour on Easter.
