- Camp on the P Loop during the heat of the summer. Being up high on the P Loop will allow for awesome ventilation from ocean breezes. I am guessing that if it's cooler or too windy it would be better to camp down low in the dunes on the other loops.
- Camp close enough to the showers to make a frequent, quick rinse possible.
- Spend early mornings, late nights, and days on the beach when we're not competing with the giant trucks for tranquil beach space.
- Run to the beach early in the mornings to see sun rises in the east, and be on the beach for sunset in the west. Cape Hatteras' unique geography allows for this.
- Learn to surfcast at Diamond Shoals.
- Learn about the history of shipwrecks and German U-boat stand-offs on Cape Hatteras.
- Be ready for the sun and mosquitoes with products that haven't expired.
