You will always find us carving pumpkins on the Family Night (Monday) before Halloween. This year was no exception.
School picture day just happened to fall on the day after. I forced everyone to stop for a quick shot with the last of the red leaves in the school parking lot.
Our kids chose their costumes the nigh before Halloween Friday at school. Well, in truth Amelia had decided months before that she wanted to dress up like Mrs. Peck, a third grade teacher at our school that she has admired from a distance. But the boys used what we had on hand.
Of course I dressed up. Our first grade team sported Pete the Cat costumes all day long coordinated by our very amazing Mrs. M. My tail got caught on things all day and my whiskers wore off, but laughed aloud every time I saw these women during the day knowing that I looked equally silly.
This will be a Halloween to remember because it was the year my kids chose to go on a road trip over trick-or-treating. More on that in the next posts.
