Winter Snow

It's time to catch up on this little blog that I have long neglected. Our winter flew by. I'm tempted to leave them wordless, but instead I'll add the details I remember.

The last week in January brought fourteen inches of snow so we had a few days off from school--we slept in and enjoyed fun breakfasts.

Thankfully I was prepared with some great snow gear, including some snow gaiters I could pull up over my hiking boots and jeans. It's pretty amazing what a difference good gear makes. It's tradition now to head to Hollymead Lake to check the ice as a family when we need to stretch our legs. The jump shot into the snow is a new favorite--in new snow they'll do this over and over until my battery dies.
