20 degrees outside. Brrr. I marched Joshua to the store for some exercise and came home to find my rising loaves of bread dough ready for the oven. So in they went at 12:55 p.m.
35 minutes later, I knocked on the tops of my 4 loaves and determined they were ready! I love the aroma of fresh bread flooding the house from the kitchen.
5 minutes later we cut into Loaf 1. Loaf 1 never lasts 24 hours in our house--that fresh whole-grain goodness is too good to pass up. Joshua eats his crustless and I don't protest. More crust for me. Yum.
10 minutes later I was uploading the first photos when Joshua informed me that he had cut some bread for himself. I have to hand it to him--it does appear a work of art. But very impassionately I made my ruling. That would be 3 minutes of time out for using a knife, 3 minutes of giggling for Mom, and 1 more photo for your enjoyment.

This is hilarious Liz...Joshua has a real talent for art!! Ditto on the homemade bread...so delicious and the only bread Lewis will eat!
Really cute. I too enjoy homemade bread.
hahahaha!
I miss Joshua.
I can just see his giggling face. He thinks he's so funny (and he's right).
Thanks for sharing your motherhood fun. Joshua is becoming quite the character...I wonder where he gets that from?!?
Gotta love boys and their ingenuity.
That really is a piece of art :)!!
SO Funny!
What an eye for art! It is always so fun to see what you are up to.
How cute is that. Mmm...that bread looks delicious. Baking is one reason I look forward to cold weather again.
We will be moving in July. 2 hours is not so far...we will have to get together! We are really looking forward to living on the East coast.
