Thanks, AJ, for the great Quiet Activity binder! Here's Joshua working through some of the activities this morning. He and I huddle for an hour or two most weekday mornings for some learning experiences, so it's nice to have some Sabbath-appropriate games to keep him busy. I can't imagine the number of hours she put into these file folder games. Every single hour was appreciated by this mommy.
Things were a blur at church today, but I think our small herd of eight Sunbeams are going flourish in primary. They were our Nursery Superstars for four months, but we made the big jump to big chairs this week--literally there were no small chairs to be found and so their short legs dangled off the edges when they weren't amusing themselves by sliding or jumping off. Kinesthetic gospel learning will be be our focus this year--one or two sentences of teaching, movement activity, one or two sentences of teaching, movement activity, etc. We were so busy today that they didn't even get their "I Am a Child of God" crowns at the end. What kind of a teacher am I?
Hooray! Dad's back! He's be in Chicago for the AEA conference for the past four days. His absence cultivated a great deal of gratitude for him in our home even before he returned. We're glad to have him back.
