January's track on record. This one was the most complicated that I've ever seen him construct alone. As he built it, he would invite me up to admire his most recent addition, I would compliment his work, and then he would send me away so that he could work on it more. I wish he was that independent everyday, but I can see how encouraging words combined with a little distance motivate him.
This month he seems to make more circular tracks. I'd guess that he's simplified the building because he's spending more time telling stories during his solo playtime. His latest thing is that he pretends to talk on the phone to, well, to his trains, actually. It's cute.

Lewis is on my lap and loving these pictures, he is saying, "Henry...Thomas...and where it Percy?" Percy is his favorite, too bad we couldn't be closer to see these boys construct their tracks and play together!!
I am impressed with his constructions! How fun to watch him use his imagination as he plays with his trains. Thanks for sharing!
