Round Valley Recreation Area

Who wouldn't have wanted to take these 12 girls on a short backpacking trip this past weekend? This hike has been in the works for the past few months and I finally got to see it through this weekend. We hiked into Round Valley Recreation Area here in New Jersey on Friday, camped and played that night and the next morning, and then we came home yesterday. We had a great time and the girls were amazing. We all wished that we had an extra day of camping--the area was so beautiful and we cooked up some pretty tasty tinfoil dinners. Yay for Girls Camp in August--I look forward to another week with these great girls.

Dan and Joshua survived here thanks to a stock of popsicles, the nearby McDonalds, and plenty of work to do outside. I almost couldn't tell that they missed me.

Don't you love foil dinners.
I can recall making those at girls camp a long time ago. Hope you had great time.

Yes, We are getting rid of the orange carpet. My Dad and my brothers Phil, Clark got rid of the brown carpet that was in the study too. Thank so much for your comments. Hope you have great 4th of July.

My Parents hired someone do the remodeling for us. They will be starting this Monday. We are really excited for this. In about 6 weeks I will be posting pictures of the new study. So stay tune for that. Also look in about 2 weeks I will be posting something that you might want to comment on. you will have to wait and see.

I love girls camp and hikes. Why do I always end up pregnant or with a newborn in the summer. Maybe next year. My mom was in charge of girls camp while I was going and her and my dad took us as youth counselors on a canoe trip to Baker Lake, it was so much fun.
