Superty-Dupity Sonogram News

Joshua has taken to using "superty-dupity" recently. It's rubbing off on me.

We had our sonogram on Friday and after more than an hour of belly massage we discovered a few things:
  1. Baby A (the lower of the two) is pretty stubborn and active--I always feel lots of moving and shaking down it that area.
  2. Baby B is also pretty active but sat really still while the profile pics were being taken.
  3. Baby A is a boy!
  4. Baby B is a girl!
  5. Things look great in there. No signs of major drama on the horizon.
I've never gained this much weight so fast--not even when I was a missionary and my insulin resistance was drasticly lowered by my drastic dietary changes. We're talking 25 pounds since the beginning of this and I'm only five months pregnant. The belly is getting bigger by the minute, folks. Imagine Violet (the Blueberry) in Charlie and Chocolate Factory, but I'm not that blue in the face.

Yesterday I had Joshua give the news to my parents. To both of them he announced it like this: "there's a girl baby and a boy baby and my Southwest Airlines pilot hat came in the mail today!" You can probably guess that he is most exctied about that last part of the announcement.

Congrats on one of each Liz! Now hopefully you'll only have to buy clothes for one of them. (And girl clothes are a lot more fun to buy than boy clothes.) Glad to hear there were no complications either. Good news all around!

Congrats Liz & Dan on the babies. My new visiting teacher's husband was a missionary in the Greenwood ward when Nate was Elder's Quorum President. He left just about the time that He was released and put in the bishopric. His name is Tyhurst, ring a bell? Not to me but he remembered me and Nate.

LIZ! That is soooo exciting! I am happy as a lark. I'm sure there is no possible way that thin Liz could ever become Violet. :D 25 pounds, that's great! Can't wait to see you and the babes.
I want to see the pilot costume on the blog.

Andrew and I were discussing this yesterday. I thought you already knew and were choosing to keep the genders of your little ones a secret from all of us. As you can imagine I was thrilled to see that I was wrong (one of the few times . . .). Congratulations!

Congratulations, Liz!! That is very exciting and overwhelming at the same time (maybe I just say that because I am pregnant and expecting only one!!). If it makes you feel better, at my five month I had gained 20 lbs and, once again, I've only got one in there :)
