Baby Bathtime

This weekend I went on a Craigslist shopping spree to buy some essential baby items and I scored this beauty--a Primo bathtub. I had never heard of it before but it is the best baby bathtub. I love it! Truth be told, most tubs are a step up from what we were using but you've gotta see the look on A's face while bathing.
E likes it, too, but I didn't get a photo of him in action. Here's a classic expression of his inquiring mind.
I just love his cute little cloth diaper-ed bum. Yep, I'm doing it. I'm cloth diapering my little twins, but don't feel any pity for me. Our cloth diapers are nearly perfect--velcro closure, water proof outer layer, flanelette inner layers. The truth: we leak less with these than with disposables and we've been able to avoid heat rash, though the diapers are staining more with the twins than they stained when I cloth-diapered J.

Since last fall's General Conference, thanks to Sister Julie Beck and my amazing sister-in-law Karen, I've felt compelled to consume less--so we're reducing, reusing, and recycling a little more around her. Buying used on Craigslist--check. Composting--check. Cloth diapering--check. This month: shorter showers for mom (to offset the water used for washing diapers) and cutting our subscription to the newspaper.

Wow. Only done one of those things....cancelled one of our papers. But I DO keep yelling at the teenage boys to cut the showering shorter. No luck. SUCH cute babies!!!

Love the pictures of the babes!

We are all about being responsible stewards of the Earth the Lord gave us. Our kids love recycling, and fight over who gets to sort it.

Found you! I grew up on James Taylor so I'm loving the new title.
Where the heck do you even buy cloth diapers? This seems so foreign to me. We must discuss the basics of using them-like how do you "clean" them after a "mishap." Is that kosher to say? Anyway-those babies are adorable. It's those eyes!

Good for you! You've inspired me to try the one cloth diaper we own. Are you using Bum Genius? Maybe will also give the homemade yogurt a whirl...Lord knows I eat enough of it that it would be a significant savings of both plastic tubs and $$.
