J has been stirring things up in the kitchen on Tuesday afternoons. I've been enjoying having his company and he's enjoyed the accomplishment. On our first official Tuesday Cooking Night he commented "I'm pretty sure this is one of my talents." You might think I am absolutely nuts for putting a handmixer in the paws of my J--it was pretty amusing. I think it's the closest he's come so far to having a power tool in his hands.

I love love love that you let him help you in the kitchen. I'd eat his brownies.
L--I let my kids help with the hand mixer too--they think it's fabulous. S#2 also likes to help turn on the Bosch mixer or blender. There have been a few times I almost didn't get a lid on before he turned it on. YIKES! I have learned to unplug it until I am ready for him to turn it on. A looks a lot like you--so sweet!

What a great way to empower him! I seriously think cooking is one of the greatest ways for kids to learn about math, scientific properties 'n' stuff (can you tell I was an English major?!), and self-confidence!
