Christmas and Birthday in Review

I hope you all had a memorable holiday. We stayed at home for Christmas--it turned out to be such a blessing. Friends had us over for Christmas Eve dinner, we enjoyed all the normal Christmas morning activities as a family, and then we went to the chapel for an informal Christmas-Potluck-and-Let-Your-Kids-Run-Amuck Event in the cultural hall. Here are a couple pics of our Christmas kids.

We also celebrated D's birthday--of course, that involved letting the neighborhood know that it was his special day. That night we actually went out on a date--GASP!--thanks to the persistence and goodness of the Lymans. It was so fun to go out to dinner at a fun restaurant nearby. I had to laugh when we were back home after an hour and a half--as parents we've become speed eaters apparently, there wasn't anyplace open to go shopping (because it was New Year's Eve), and it was freezing cold so we couldn't even go for a walk!

What happy kids! It's so nice to see how everyone celebrates the Christmas season. I can't get over how different your twins look but still so much alike and part of your family.

Happy Birthday! We can relate to the short dates. I don't even know what we used to do on dates anymore. After dinner we seem to be fresh out of ideas. We are getting old!

Hi cuz! I feel extra special because somehow I got two Christmas cards from you! I'm glad to know that when you come home to visit, it will be greatly publicized so I won't miss out! What about the reunion in 2010?

Hope you have a wonderful New Year! Take care!
