Mid-June: A Few Random Snapshots

J finished his nearly four-month YMCA classes with his buddy T. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to convince him to do anything at the YMCA without this cute kiddo.
My brother Aaron (not pictured) came to see us while he was checking out an oral surgery residency in the area. We enjoyed a perfect Sunday walk at Princeton with him while he took candid shots of us along the way.
I spent a month before our trip consumed with decision-making about the updates to our kitchen that were done in our absence. That double oven is fifty years old and done working, and we wanted to install a dishwasher as well. In the end I decided not to replace our cabinets--they are good quality maple, so to be wise with resources, I'm opting to have them modified rather than replaced. Here's the "before" shot--I'll post more pics as we make more progress.

Your kitchen - especially the cabinets - reminds me so much of my great-grandparents' house! I think it is so pretty and cute, but probably not the most "user friendly!" Can't wait to see the after shot!

Great kitchen! I would put in a new dishwasher, especially with your little crew. I'll check back and see how it goes. -Carmen
