Autumn Things

Autumn, how I love thee. Humidity has nearly disappeared, and colorful mid-day walks make everyone happier. Though I love sweatshirt season, I love that we can still get away with summer sandals and short sleeves. Here's what J saw yesterday through the camera lens on our two walks around our neighborhood.
Another autumn thing I love: General Conference. Twice a year (in April and in October) the prophets and apostles who lead our church address us in a total of six two-hour sessions. Four of them are available via Internet, so we enjoyed them in our living room. We bribed our kids with treats, let them at the art supplies, and eventually took turns watching them in the backyard so that we could tune in. It was worth the juggling. What great counsel we have received. If you don't know about modern-day prophets, just say the word--I'd love to tell you all about them.
And one autumn thing D loves: College Football. Even if he is only able to listen to BYU football from 9 p.m. to mindnight on ksl.com, he's a fan.

Oh what a sweet picture of your little boy!!!!
The twins are so big now./. It reminds me I won't see Camille's twins grow :-(
What sweet joy children bring to our lives.

great pics! I love it when little kids get to snap a few photos. It's always fun to see the world according to them. What a great pic of your boys watching football, too. There is just something about night pics that I love.

How fun! J takes great pictures. I love seeing the fall colors since the leaves are falling up here before they are changing colors. The twins are still so cute and getting so big! I bet they are just talking up a storm.

Those photos are way better than I would have taken. He has a talent! Don't you wish they made GOOD digital cameras for kids!? I would love to be in the NE for autumn - the colors are magnificent. Your family life looks so cozy.
