Things I was reminded of at Field Day 2010:
J has a little bit of a competetive streak which is probably developmentally normal. What was very apparent was how hard he worked at the team events--he's a lot like me that way. Put him on a team and he starts hollerin' at everyone else to go faster.
Juicy fruits are the perfect outdoor snack in warm weather--little hydration, little tummy-filler, and apples are great because they take a long time.
There's nothing like Boys-Verses-Girls tug-of-war to get the blood pumping: "Pull!" "Harder!"
Field Day is the the "final lap" flag of elementary school. My kindergartener won't have that title much longer. I can't wait for him to be home for the summer, and I'm not ready to let him be a first-grader just yet.

Hurray for summer break! Can't wait to hear about all of your upcoming summer adventures. Please tell me Cali is on the list...
That first picture is the best, I love how his tongue is sticking out!
Look at that cute kid! The first and especially the third picture remind me how long it has been since I saw him!
Field day was always the best day of the year! I had almost forgotten about it...thanks for the reminder. J is getting so big...when am I going to see you again? We have to coordinate a T-town visit soon!
