We made it to a Trenton Thunder this weekend. The minor league is so family-friendly and our ballpark is such a great destination for a family handling three kids. Here are a few things J saw, uncropped and unedited as usual:
A danced in the aisles and wiped her ketchup off her fingers with baby wipes. E took refuge on D's lap sporting his sunglasses and he tracked the Thunder's "batdog" who dutifully fetched and retrieved bats that had been tossed aside. J kept his glove on hoping for a foul ball. D and I fended off all requests for cotton candy--we're spoilsports, I know--and we enjoyed having our little family together on such a fun outing.
I love baseball in the summer. I realized as the national anthem was sung that that whole of summer seems to be a time of patriotism starting with Memorial Day and leading through Flag Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day with all the baseball, apple pie, and national park trips you can fit inbetween. This year as things heat up, I'm thankful for my national heritage.

Has anyone told you lately how beautiful you are? You really are.
I've been sharing your patriotic sentiments recently. It really is one long, wonderful season for celebrating Independence! I hadn't realized it before this year, I wonder why. Now, I find myself stressing liberty and freedom over and over to Ashton. So important!
I love seeing pictures of your kids on your blog because those twins are ALWAYS moving! You can tell in that last shot that A is desperately trying to wriggle away. : )
