Camp in the Gap

We just returned from our first family camping trip to the Delaware Water Gap.  We're collectively looking forward to our next trip to this unique area.  We all seemed to have our favorite aspects of this trip.


A was a good little hiker and she knows it!  On the trail to Van Campen's Glen--

--and on the steep one-plus mile path to Mount Tammany.

E loved his sticks and rocks--

--and endless access to the outdoors.  He was constantly wet and/or dirty.

J loved his camping buddy O (with whom he scampered up to the top of Mount Tammany together nearly effortlessly)--

--and the fun he had in search of bass and catfish in the Delaware.

D and I loved the area and its woodland beauty--

--and we loved the many benefits of doing it with these friends--

 --and we loved it when our kids would konk out just like this.
