FHE--Safer Surfing, Simon Says, and Swedish Fish

To begin Family Home Evening last night D pulled off his patented running start in which he introduces the lesson over dinner. Last night's lesson was about Internet safety--we covered all the important stuff a six-year old should know and came up with a plan for safer surfing including a drop-down menu and such.  For our activity we played a very silly "Simon Says" and snacked on Swedish fish.
This photo isn't from last night's Family Home Evening, but what's a blog post from me without a photo.  So here's one that I snapped a month ago at the conclusion of a lesson on temples.  You can tell it's from a month ago because A still has her curls.  Oh, let's not talk about that.  Let's just remind ourselves "hair grows back."  It's my fault that she lost her curls in case you were wondering.

What did you do with your family last night?

We went to see Garrison Keillor right here in little ol' Turlock. Great story teller...great wit...love his shtick. Let's here it for Lake Wobegon.

Lydia taught us about the Lord's pattern of learning and teaching by "line upon line, precept upon precept". It was from an article in the September 2010 New Era by Elder Bednar. She did an excellent job!
