Lesson: What is an Apostle?
We watched the Mormon Messages interview of Elder David Bednar. At eleven minutes long, it is a too long for the kids, but D and I loved it. Next time I'll just show a three minute segment to the kids. My favorite story from this one was about the woman in Africa who is teaching about fasting--he points out how much we have to learn from others.Activity: Wall Football
We blindfolded the kids and had them attempt to stick footballs to the wall inside the upright. I saw this idea in Family Fun and we prepared a quick version of it for our kids. They totally loved it. There might have been some peeking. There might have been some cheating, but they seemed to love the simple blindfold aspect.Treat: A Little Scoop of Ice Cream
Our treats get smaller and smaller, I tell you. It's fun to do a full dessert, but not always smart with bedtime being upon us.What did you do? Do share!

I love reading about your weekly FHE. Ours last night was a lesson about Thanksgiving and what we're thankful for, followed by a game of turkey tag (made up by Ben & James on the spur of the moment, but lots of fun), and Rice Krispie Treats for a treat. Last night I felt so thankful for the tradition of FHE in our home. I just felt so full of love for our little family--that MUST be the point of FHE!!!
I noticed that there are red and blue footballs on your wall... Do you know what's coming up on Saturday? Guess who we're cheering for!
FHE Report: Lesson: Ten Lepers; Songs: Popcorn Popping on Apricot Tree, Thanksgiving Blessing (a song from Susanna's Methodist preschool), and Because We Have Been Given Much; Treat: Pumpkin Ice Cream (you were the inspiration here-- we haven't had it yet either).
