Getting Back Into Routine

2011 is here and we are easing into the cold pool that is January (in contrast with the warm whirlpool of memory and tradition that is December.)  I think that we know what we want to accomplish this year, but new routines have yet to be engraved in our days.  J went back to school this week.  Feedback has been mixed.
Now the twins are back to figuring out life together without their older brother's tutelage.  The other day in the afternoon I caught them figuring out this dynamic again.
Coloring on the deck=A's idea of fun.  Rolling around on the bike=E's preferred pastime.
Every now and then they decide to switch hobbies.
They frequently have second thoughts in process, and that doesn't always go so smoothly.
I sometimes wonder if I should take them to playgroups for social interaction and practice, but then I hear one of them squawking in the background and I'm reminded how early they're starting their lessons in conflict resolution as twins.

Amen sista. Twins are a built-in training ground for social mores. Love your VA house. Email me and tell me where you are exactly, if you have a minute. xo
