On the Outer Banks

We just returned from spending four days with generous, fun friends on North Carolina's Outer Banks.  It was my first time there and most definitely not our last.  We spent lots of time on the beach out our backdoor, listened to General Conference, visited the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, watched dolphins and pelicans and sandpipers each morning and evening, learned about the Wright Brothers at Kittyhawk, and enjoyed each others' company.  Our camera died on the first day but that was the only bad event of the whole occasion.  We can't wait to go back someday.

Liz...this is my favorite beach. When I lived in Virginia we rented a large beach house and stayed with family for a week each summer. The water is perfect. the sand dunes are great for kite flying and rolling and running down. If you ever get the chance if you drive to the outer end of the banks it is very primitive with wild horses...not very commercial. I am so glad you get to share many of the places that are dear to my heart! Aunt BArbara
