Whirlwind Nana in Cville (Part 1)

Day One included a very productive stroll on the Pedestrian mall where we enjoyed Christian's Pizza for lunch, discovered Dan's stolen banjo in a pawn shop, and I ran into a co-worker of mine from fourteen years ago who has been living on a communal farm her in Virginia for the last ten years.  We also enjoyed the buskers, paused at New Dominion Books, and enjoyed the perfection of the ambience.
Then onto UVa that same day where we of course had to photograph the most photographed building of all US universities.
On Day Two we went to Monticello. It is always so lovely there.  I took two dozen photos of the gardens that all were rather bleached out due to the high noonday sun.

Yesterday my mom gifted me with time to get things done while she took the kids to the library, the sporting goods store, lunch, and then a movie.
Today we slowed down and met Dan for lunch on Grounds, walked all around Court Square and, swam for the fourth time in four days at the neighborhood pool. More adventures await us this week . . .

So . . . did you buy back the banjo? What were you doing in the pawn shop? Was the banjo in good condition? I feel like I'm marking up an essay with "What then?" and "Add more".

But do, do tell.

I'm very curious about the banjo as well!

I'm also wondering how long the banjo was gone?
