Whirlwind Nana In Cville (Part 2)

On Thursday we escaped the heavy heat of our town and went up to the top of the Blue Ridge.

On Friday we swam at our community pool as we had done in all of our spare minutes during Nana's visit.  The kids really took off last week with the extra patient coaching.

Friday night the power went out after a surprise storm blew in and out like a tornado, so after a night in the basement and a morning cleaning up fallen limbs and trying to stay cool we headed downtown where power had been restored to eat ice cream.  It melted into thick creamy puddles within two minutes of being served to us outside!

On Sunday we did the usual Sunday things.  Nana watched the kids while I visited another ward after our meetings.  We had family council and went swinging.
I love these family photos. Some of my favorite ever.  My mom should go into business taking photos of families in action.
And on Monday after a full day of produce shopping and swimming, we sent Nana home only on the condition that she come back again.
I love family reunions, even when we have them one person at a time.

I love your look in the picture of your family in the kitchen. It is a universal mom look. Can't wait to see you next week for camping.
