Barbecue in the Middle

It has been a full Saturday. Dan and I started early with a trip to the temple in DC while our kids spent the morning with friends, then we gathered with Dan's co-workers and the students in his program for a barbecue, and Dan and J just headed off to watch the BYU game at another friend's home. 

Saturdays can be so very full even when we deliberately leave out normal Saturday things like sleeping in, scrubbing the house, doing yard work, and participating in sports leagues. I feel most successful when we are able do something essential like attending the temple in addition to spending meaningful time together as a family.
