Note-taking is my favorite strategy for listening to the talks given during General Conference. Yesterday E asked me for helping spelling out the notes he wanted to take: "you need the scriptures."
These are some lines from my notes. They might be paraphrased words or just impressions I had.
From Linda Burton:
All that is unfair in life can be made right through the Atonement of Christ.
From Linda Reeves:
In prayer we should tell the Father all about our pain and how we feel and then give it to him.
From Marcus Nash:
Reason and faith balance us as the two wings of an airplane in flight. Fear distracts from faith.
From Quentin Cook:
Civility starts in the home--there religious observance can flourish and moral issues of our day can be taught.
From L. Tom Perry:
With all the changes so rapidly around us we must be sure that our moral standards do not change. In cleverly and carefully camouflaged ways Satan threatens to weaken our commitment to family. Creating a strong family culture lessens the effect of the media and political cultures around us.
From Dallin H. Oaks:
Citizens and policy makers need to increases our attention to what is best for children in world that so often advocates for adult interests.
From Henry B. Eyring
Our view of God can be obstructed our personal motivations and objectives and our personal timetable. The obstruction can be removed as we pray to know His will and surrender ours to His. Uncertainty isn't always removed, but peace will be granted.
From Jeffrey R. Holland
Love God. Don't go back what you were doing before you knew Him.

I love how E's "Y" in "you" looks like the BYU Y. And also, I think that's the weirdest sentence I've ever typed. :)
