Most twin things are awesome. Twin togetherness trumps many other favorable sibling interactions. "I would love to have another set," I tell people in all honesty.
This week I discovered one thing that isn't awesome. Togetherness during vaccinations doesn't help one bit. I think the hematocrit blood draw was the worst part. There were a lot of tears in that exam room, mainly because they were so worried about each other. It was too traumatic. And now we know.
In other news, for the first time ever the twins have the same height and weight.
It was good to get back to our normal tear-free calm routines that afternoon. E wrote sums on index cards with sharpies and A whipped out this awesome portrait of our parakeet.

So sweet that they were so concerned for each other. They are equally lucky to have one another.
Yes, your twins are lucky to have each other. Our last attempts for the boys' blood draws failed---attempts, but no successful draws. I'm not sure we'll be trying any time soon . . . it was pretty traumatic on all parties involved.
