"The answer to our prayer of how to meet our children's needs may be to more often technologically disconnect. Precious moments of opportunity to interact and converse with our children dissolve when we are occupied with distractions. Why not choose a time each day to disconnect from technology and reconnect with each other? Simply turn everything off. When you do this, your home may seem quiet at first; you may even feel at a loss as to what to do or say. Then, as you give full attention to your children, a conversation will begin, and you can enjoy listening to each other."

I LOVE this talk! Such a good reminder.
Today I got to hold Wyatt's hand while on a walk ... I often like to lean in and have Pierce give me a kiss on the cheek ... It is fun to just walk up to Hale and put my arm around him and pull him in tight ....
I guess my love language is snuggle time with my kiddos! I also like making them laugh - I say something funny like "repeat after me - I will listen to mom ... I will be nice to my brothers ... I will not be mean to anyone ... I will not let a Bison eat me today". They like the unexpected goofy!!
So fun - thanks Liz!
When my kids were young, we read the pictured scripture stories everyday. We cuddled on the couch to do it and it was a favorite ritual. We read lots of other books too but when we read the scripture stories they would ask lots of questions and we would enjoying talking about Heavenly Father and Jesus, the commandments, and our beliefs. It was a favorite time for us.
We have always enjoyed just spending time together whether working or playing. We never seem to run out of things to do or subjects to discuss.
