And Now, A Message about Our Sponsors

 U.S. Road Trip 2013
Part Seven

We interrupt our regularly-scheduled posts to thank the sponsors of our trip up until this point. When planning our route across country we listed out the people that we wanted to see along the way in addition to the national parks in our path. Though we had the flexibility to camp wherever we went, we felt fortunate to stay with a few good friends along the way. Their hospitality shouldn't go unnoticed in the record of our voyage.

Matt in Oklahoma, whose awesome wife was out of town with their kids, and he still fed us like we were royalty and arranged for an evening swim after our full day of driving.
Our good friend Becky in Albuquerque who hosted us even though her kids were out of town with her parents.
Cecia and crew probably deserve a full post for the tortellini soup, birthday cake, all the Disneyland coaching, the swim parties, and general fun they never fail to provide.
Of course, our parents went out of their way to make us comfortable, too.

And I'm going to insert a couple of photos old friends who went out of their way to visit us.

My friend Kelly who has always been willing to share such kindness, insight, and good sense of humor with me.
Why aren't we neighbors?
And D's friend JJ who was raised just down the road from Dan. This was my first time meeting her and I instantly loved her. She brought over two of her five kids.
D and I look forward to reunions with old friends almost as much as we do family reunions perhaps because these people have been our family while we've been so far from our relatives. Seeing them so healthy and well gives us such satisfaction, and we look forward to more run-ins with these amazing people again.
