We went on a Sunday walk today while Dan was visiting a friend. Birds were chirping and the sun glowed on the trees while the moon rose in the northeast. The whole world seemed to be happy with today's warm temperatures. We walked the normal short Sunday loop and when we passed the halfway point I had one of those when-did-everyone-grown up moments.
E had been racing ahead of me the entire time, a stark contrast to his droning whine of past walks.
J spent the entire walk imagining receivers downfield ready for his pass for the touchdown, a stark contrast to the chatter and questions that could have once occupied us on a ten-mile march.
A skipped rope for nearly a mile. I'm pretty sure she just learned to do that this week.
I feel thrilled and perplexed by how these things happen so quickly.
