And a few of my half marathon in Richmond with Staci. We were freezing at the 27 degree start time that morning. Staci's awesome eighties jacket wouldn't make it five miles into the race before being sacrificed to the Goodwill pile on the side of the road, but it we are lucky to have it photographed here at the UPS truck station.
I love this race and can't wait to run it again next year. The downhill slope to the finish line was easily my favorite part. I was flying when I crossed the finish line.
We were both so pleased by our strong finish, but then we bundled up quickly and walked back to our hotel in as much sun as possible. It was a great day, but I'm most proud of the running habit we kickstarted as we prepared for this run.
J turned 11 last month, and at 6:45 a.m. he busted open his presents. He was pretty excited about the gift money and Scout supplies he received from his grandparents.
We also managed to fit in some time on short trails--
--and about ten attempts to get a family Christmas card photo which were all this funny. We are hopeless squinters, it's true.
