Richmond Favorites and Highlights

We bought a family pass to the Museum of Science this year, and so we took our like-cousins friends with us in January to enjoy the science experience with us, in addition to enjoying our other favorite family place in Richmond, Maymont Park.

Highlight #1: The Grand Kugel
This giant earth-moon statue shows the scale of distance between the sun and the moon. Who doesn't love a rotating multi-ton granite ball that spins in its setting as a water feature?

Highlight #2: The virtual piano on the video monitor heading downstairs.
Everyone's dance moves come out as they try to coordinate their movement with the music.
Highlight #3. The bubble wall is inescapable for all ages.

Highlight #3: our second posing with one of Virginia's Loveworks. This one's outside the Children's Museum. I think I have a new photographic, tourist goal.

Highlight #4: All the places to sit at Maymont.
Even in the winter we need to sit and take a breather as we go up and down the hills of the park.

Highlight #5: Climbing in this tree.
Why don't I know what kind of tree it is?
