Tracking his progress

This summer Joshua was introduced to Thomas the Tank Engine at the Barnes & Noble train table. In August we took a trip to the railroad museum in Old Sacramento where he became more interested in engines and such. That's when Nana stepped in and set him up with his own wooden tracks and some engines. Piece by piece his collection has grown, and recently he's proven himself as quite the track constructor. Those pieces are perfect for three year-old dexterity. This blog will be a good place to watch Joshua's track-making development. Yesterday he constructed this little wonder--his strategy most recently is to make his lines as long as possible. He's not quite able or doesn't choose to connect them in any sort of circular way himself.

Lewis is so jealous of the watertower and roundhouse (that is what we are getting him for Christmas), the first words out of Lewis' mouth every morning are Thomas and Percy...he is offically obsessed. Glad to see Joshua is too!!!

Saw your Christmas card at my brother's house and thought I'd see what the Players are up to. Merry Christmas!

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not be derailed from it.
