Thunder Fun

We went to the Trenton Thunder game a couple of weeks ago for a night at the ballgame with our little family. Both boys had a lot of fun (though they both appear to be scowling)--Dan loved the stress-free, $4 trip to the ballgame and Joshua for days afterwards could list of all of the treats he had at the park. The big league games have no substitute, but this was a pretty good alternative--no major traffic, same game. I love minor league games.

The Thunder is one of the Yankees' farm teams so we missed seeing Roger "The Rocket" Clements pitch by ONE stinkin' night. Maybe it's better that way--I can't stand the thought of being swept up into the Yankee-loving the prevails in our neck of the woods.

I agree with you. Minor league games are totally fun. I love that Joshua could recite all that he had eaten. Was there something else you wanted him to remember? One bad thing about Vegas is that there are NO teams. We had better make our way to so. cal. sometime this summer for a Dodger or Astros game (sadly I don't think that will happen). Glad you had a great day at the game!

Trenton Thunder Hu? Well here we have a group of guys called "The Thunder From Down Under" Not sure if you have heard of them but they put on a pretty mean halftime show next time you are in town we will take you to see them. You will be quite impressed.

Baseball looks like a very serious sport.

I just have to laugh. My nephew went to his first ballgame a few weeks ago and all he could tell me about was the train they saw when walking from the car to the ballpark and the glorious food he ate. The love of the game will come later (hopefully).
