August Photos by Joshua

Our August tree. I thought it would be fun to see what Joshua could do with a camera this afternoon. He certainly thinks he's old enough to be entrusted with expensive things. I was impressed by his ability to choose a subject and stay still long enough to take a picture.
His mosquito-bitten legs.

The posts at the end of our driveway. The last owners of this house were boating folk and they left all kinds of little remembrances for us. I haven't had the heart to take these down--all the neighborhood kids "play" them like bongos.
Oh, I chopped off my hair last week. Well, I paid someone to. (This isn't the most flattering picture of his work because I took a couple naps on it today and have been out in the humidity.) I love getting a drastic crop and this one was particularly fun.

Now I'd love to see what your kiddos can do. I'm sure there are some budding photographers out there waiting to be discovered.

Hey Liz,
Like the photos and of course your hair cut is cute. I hope you are doing well.

way to go josh, on the camera!!! he's a natural. Now you have to teach him to turn the camera around and take pictures of himself, so he can see what he looks like in reverse.

I remember reading this post but only seeing the first photo - I love your haircut! I am really impressed with his composition. Isn't it amazing the photos they can take when they have immediate feedback with a digital camera? We might get Elizabeth her own for Christmas.
