Has it been eight months already? We're just a few days shy of that mark. Thanks to everyone who has made these eight months so great. We couldn't have ever made it through the challenges (mainly the sleep deprivation) without you! I'm also grateful that we got such happy kids--they really are pleasant most of the time. I still marvel at how they differ even thought they're treated the same, fed the same, scheduled the same, etc. Here are their updates.E has become much more mobile in the last few weeks and he's cutting a new tooth up on top. He's still a fun little communicator--it's so obvious that he wants people to talk to him, read to him, sing with him, and more. He loves his solid foods, and he'll open his mouth and say "AHHH" to invite a spoonful of whatever pureed mixture we have for him. Recently he's taken to sticking his fingers in his mouth immediately after the food goes in, and he also likes grabbing the full spoon of food before it can get to his mouth. He is "anxiously engaged" in his feedings. Here's what he looks like after he's had enough but before I've cleaned him up.
And just to contrast that with A, here's what she looks like after we feed her.
Her tidiness is partially because she just doesn't seem to have the appetite that E has (of which her weight is evidence). Lighter and more flexible, she is really agile. Yesterday we saw the first glimpses of knee-crawling, though she falls back into her coordinated army-crawl after a few steps forward on her knees. She can also pull herself up to standing in her crib and at the side of the couch. A loves E--she'll crawl right over him if they're both on the same blanket and I frequently find her sitting up in her crib looking right at him when I go in to get them up from naps. I'm glad they have each other.

You are a great example. I can't believe it has been 8 months since you hopped on that boat. Give all your kiddos kisses from me :-)
I know I say this every time I comment...but...I can't get enough of those two. They are sooooo cute! Wish I were around to play with them.
Simply adorable! Happy 8-months to you all! And congrats for making it through the first 6 months with flying colors-- those always seem to be the hardest.
I too can't believe it has been 8 months. It has been great reading about your adorable twins especially since they are only a few days older than our little guy. It is just fun to see and hear how each child is different and unique. These two sound like so much fun!!
L, they are so so precious. And growing up so fast! I think it's so sweet how they love each other. I'm glad they had eachother too.
....tell amelia that i COMPLETELY understand how she feels and that her concerns about "thinning out" are valid. ....nobody likes to be balding.
You have such a beautiful family. Congratulations on making it to eight months!
Such adorable little Player babies. I love it and am fascinated by the connections that twins have! I'd love to read a post with more about that :)
They are so beautiful! Seriously. I can't believe eight months already. How does that happen!
