So how did it happen? How did he trade his Thomas trains in for Star Wars
paraphernalia? Last year he was asking me what "cheeky" meant, and this year he wants to know the names of every creature in the original Star Wars trilogy. And when did he become big enough to decorate his own birthday cake? J had a birthday and I'm marvelling at the big jump in development he seemed to take this year. Take a look at that fine cake he designed and decorated. If you can't tell he choose to write "
BYU" in blue M&Ms. For the rest of his life his birthday will fall right around the
BYU-Utah Game, so I'm sure there will be other
BYU cakes in the future due to the conversations he hears around the house.

Yesterday parents were invited to attend the Thanksgiving celebration at J's preschool. He sat on the rug and sang so seriously, but I was chuckling the whole time. This paper bag "Native American" costume concept is a million-dollar idea. I was thinking about all the children across the United States that will also don fringed paper bags this week.

Speaking of growing up, we had to laugh this week when E's too-small
jammies couldn't take another day. Can you spot his escaped toe?

I was just thinking the same thing about my boys! I see little guys running around with Bob the Builder and Thomas, and I wonder when did that all end for us? All of a sudden all we do around here is Star Wars and Transformers!
How fun! J looks like he could become a pro at cake decorating! Isn't it amazing how fast these little ones are growing. We had to put Little D in the next size PJ's too because we couldn't squeeze him into the 12 mo size anymore. But I just love the escape of the big toe. Very cute!
oh man. I love that kid.
Who'd have thought a toe could go rogue like that. He must have one sharp toenail! Happy Birthday to your big boy!! This earth life feels like a blink!
Those kids in that circle with those paper bags......fantastic!!!
